A small, distributed team focused on real-world product testing across a handful of everyday categories.
Who we are
The Affluencer Journal is the editorial arm of AffluencerHub. We're a small team of writers and editors — no more than a handful of people — who spend our week testing products, comparing them, and writing them up.
We work across time zones, which means "in our own homes" covers different climates, households, and use cases. That's a good thing for reviews: a raincoat gets a fairer test if it meets more than one kind of rain.
How we're organized
Our reviews come out of three loosely-defined desks:
- Home & Living Desk — furniture, home goods, appliances, gardening, everything that stays put.
- Audio & Tech Desk — headphones, wearables, smart-home gear, the things you plug in.
- Lifestyle & Gifting Desk — flowers, food, gifts, seasonal picks, style.
Every review is written by one person and read by at least one more before it goes out. The byline on the page — AffluencerHub Editorial Team — reflects that collaboration.
Why we publish under a team byline
Because it's honest. A review that ships under one person's name suggests it was one person's opinion, tested by one person, edited by nobody. Ours aren't. Our reviews are drafted, tested, edited, and often revised by more than one team member before publication. Putting the team on the byline is the accurate answer to "who wrote this?"
Our editorial values
- We say what we think. If a product is only okay, we say that. If it's bad, we say that too.
- We don't hide the money. How we earn is on our disclosure page. How we test is on our how-we-test page.
- We update. Products change. Prices change. When a piece stops being accurate, we fix it or retire it.
